Products and Markets

Keywell processes more stainless steel and specialty alloy scrap metal for consumption in the domestic industry than any other Company in the United States. Each of our state-of-the-industry facilities is equipped with inbound and outbound radiation monitors, as well as one or more X-ray analyzers or other sophisticated analytical equipment for precise detection and identification of every piece of metal we process.

Our service approach is to "say what we mean and mean what we say." We will attend to each detail of every order. If it makes sense, we will try it. If it can be done, we can do it. At Keywell, there is no short cut and no second-best when it comes to quality and to customer and supplier service.

Finding the best uses for the earth's basic elements is at the heart of what we do. It's a responsibility we take very seriously. Which is why Keywell is constantly exploring and researching new and better ways to make scrap metal recycling more effective, efficient and environmentally sound. By making the most of the metal already taken from the earth, we are doing our part to preserve its natural wealth and beauty.

To demonstrate our commitment to world-class quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, all of our facilities have achieved demanding ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. To obtain this certification, a company must meet or exceed stringent processing and quality assurance standards accepted worldwide, and then maintain those standards through implementation of a documented quality system.

In addition to our expansion, modernization and cost-reduction efforts, Keywell's ISO-Certified Quality Management system is a key element in our commitment to optimize our processes and operations company-wide, eliminate waste and reduce costly variation - all of which are critical to our leadership position in product quality and service in the markets we serve. We have also initiated a comprehensive Six Sigma program to further improve our quality and operating efficiency.
